About Us

The Central Pennsylvania Area Labor Federation

Working for the hopes and aspirations of working people in Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Somerset, and York Counties of Pennsylvania.

Area Labor Federations were formed out of the unanimous agreement of the various heads of labor that compose the AFL-CIO as well as affiliates that now fall under Change to Win. These entities were designed with the goal of strengthening labor regionally in each state. Pennsylvania was divided into six zones. The Central Pennsylvania Area Labor Federation zone includes a 17 county area. The Central Pennsylvania ALF serves five Central Labor Councils within this region; Lancaster, Harrisburg Regional, York-Adams, Blair-Bedford, and Johnstown Regional. We are also working to rebuild a CLC for the Centre County region.
