York Adams Central Labor Council
The York Adams Central Labor Council will be hosting a Fishing Derby on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2008 at Kiwanis Lake. There will be 2 age groups for this competition; 1 through 8 years of age and 9 through 15 years of ages. Prizes will be distributed in each age group. Registration is from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. Orientation will immediately follow at 7:30 a.m. and fishing begins at 8:00 a.m. Fishers will then have until 11:45 a.m. to try to win prizes which will be distributed at 12 noon.
The York Adams Central Labor Council will also be hosting its 19th annual Labor Day Parade on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2008. This is year’s theme will be, “Working Families – Living United”. The parade will step off at Smalls Athletic Field at 10 a.m. and will end at Kiwanis Lake.

 

 

 

 

Lancaster United Labor Council
The Lancaster United Central Labor Council in association with the United Way is hosting a Chili Cook-off contest and Auction. The event will be held at the AMVETS Post 19 Fairview Ave, Lancaster, PA on September 20th, 2008 starting at 2 P.M. and lasting until 6 P.M. There will be plenty of Food, Beer, Soda, and Door Prizes. If anyone is interested in being a Contestant in the Chili Cook-off contest they should call 717-392-2518 by September 12th, 2008.


 

 

 


Blair Bedford Labor Council

The Blair Bedford Labor Council are hosting their Annual Labor Day Parade in Altoona on August 30th, 2008.

 

 

 

 

Harrisburg Regional Labor Council

The Harrisburg Regional Labor Council will be hosting a Labor Day Breakfast at the AFSCME Conference Center at 150 South 43rd Street, Harrisburg, PA.


Affiliation essential to success
